Jorge Martinez is one of the Cuban mechanics who keep Cuba's old cars running with only the most basic tools and equipment. This series of images shows Jorge replacing the piston rings of an early 1950's Chrysler V8 engine. When he is finished with the engine overhaul he will link it to a shortened drive shaft from a Russian light truck and he will fit both into a 1937 Ford.
Jorge's "Garage" is in Cojimar, a fishing village near Havana.
